Don't press your luck on St. Patrick's Day. Don't drink and drive.
Watch this video from KUSI News' Good Morning San Diego and find out what the Sheriff's Department is doing to stop impaired drivers not just on St. Patrick's Day, but all year long.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), impaired driving kills more
than 10,000 people every year in the United States.
The sad fact is that every single one of these deaths is preventable.
The Sheriff's Department is committed to keeping San Diego's roadways safe from impaired drivers. If you get caught drinking and driving, you will go to jail.
"Do the responsible thing not just on St. Patrick's Day, but every day: don't drink and drive," said Sheriff Bill Gore. "Remember: BUZZED DRIVING IS DRUNK DRIVING."
