Created this Max/MSP/Jitter patch with Arduino control for a future video installation realization. The installation utilizes an infrared sensor, Arduino board/sketch, Max/MSP/Jitter, and video projection.
The work questions the idea of remembrance through human presence. If a viewer triggers the infrared sensor, the audio/video cross-fade to reveal Nathan R Wood, who was killed in Iraq on November 9, 2004. If no human is present or steps outside the sensor range, a wash of granulation continues.
