Born and bred in Sydney Australia, it’s Brendan the brains behind 15grams that gives this city something to brag about from here to Europe and every continent in between. Boasting a golden pot of talent from the barrages of the big room to tech house tips, there is a point of interest from this young fresh-faced music icon. From pizzaolo to music genius, the proof was always on the scales!
For three years Brendan has taken a drive for electronic music and converted into a career that has flourished quickly and successfully, full of energy and passion. Noted by Hardwell as a great DJ in his own right, the 15grams brand has gone from strength to strength from the initial bedroom DJ setup to residencies in hot spots globally. Inspired by Daft Punk, Stevie Wonder, Coldplay and Nicky Romero, it’s these phenomenal icons that bring to life what this finely tuned artist does so well whilst also diving into the industry’s most influential at conferences like IMS Ibiza 2012.
As a DJ first, it was this love that took him into the studio. Signed to Monstercat and Uplifting Music, the love shared from the 15gram’s studio is rich. A recent chart-bouncing tune in Eventide feat. Wilzlo saw the Beatport Progressive Charts bang out drawing attention in for other tunes. The studio is never quiet with tracks like YouTube 500k view sensation ‘Dreaming’ with Project46 feat. Matthew Sartori and ‘Siento’ feat. Paige released under his pumping alias of Meno e Meglio.
Sydney took a strong rise with 15grams securing a solid residency at Ivy’s Marco Polo every Sunday where soon enough it became contagious to industry figures internationally. Taking on a smashing spot at Paradise Club Mykonos this European Summer, with an epic appearance in Barcelona at City Hall, it’s this hype far and wide that has provoked this year’s residency and support sets for Axwell, Laidback Luke, Hardwell and Avicii.
With a passion to entertain for the love of music that is embodied so genuinely, the 15grams wins over dance floors from the first press of play till the lights go off and the after party kicks on.
