Light Walk is the first of its kind temporary light harp. It is a large-scale interactive sounds and light installation composed of portable interactive modules attached to existing infrastructure or temporary supports. By placing the modules throughout a site, we create a temporary, yet giant, and fully immersive art experience. As participants move, dance, and walk through Light Walk, they trigger sound and light reactions. As crowds flock to Light Walk, the group’s chaotic activity will create new life, as if everyone is unknowingly participating in a musical symphony.
Light Walk is an exploration of the future of public art. By creating an installation with no defined form, Light Walk turns a unique part of your city into a piece of interactive art. Asking people to look at their environment in a new way, through creative eyes. This is work that truly explores the reality of a world where both digital and physical connections permeate every aspect of our lives. Placing something interactive in a well-traveled area takes people by surprise and encourages a moment of play, leading them to experience it in a new way. This can lead to profound contextual, connected community response in the space. When the public stumbles upon something surprising, it has a tendency to change their days, their perception of the location, and their memory of the community.
