One of three short movies by Beakus for the National Maritime Museum's 'Old Weather' project. This movie explains why temperature readings taken at sea are so important in building up a model of the globe's weather patterns.
It was created by Beakus director Steve Smith for Mike Paterson, designed by Leo Bridle and animated by Leo and Jesse Collett.
The infographic style brings life to the science, and was made in a mix of 2D and 3D software.
There are two more movies you can see on the Beakus vimeo page.
