The Black Circle is the annual street art/post-graffiti festival. The camping. The expedition.
Each year it hits the new place. Mostly desolated. Surely, abandoned.
Formed by the group of Ukrainian artists and specially invited guests from all over the world.
Accomplished through D.I.Y., which means no sponsorship and other support from the outside.
Non-decorative narrative, conceptual interpretation of the space and the specific lifestyle...
Welcome to the inside of the Black Circle.
A film was made in the light of August 2015 during the 6th edition of the Black Circle Festival. Up to 40 artists invaded the former health center (which was functioning as a summer camp for youngsters back in the days of early 80’s) in Byshtyno village, Ukraine. After the 7 days of the event, the territory of abandoned camp was reborn as unique body of work developed by each of participants through the power of art.
