short stories (2005)
Toula Limnaios has, in short stories, very consciously turned to short, simple forms. In 2 duets and a solo, both as distinct from each other as they are interconnected, she lays out an array of small, very personal stories: not everyday incidents, but personal tempers lie at the core of this intimate chamber piece: In our shell, we are all the same, but that which lies beneath our skin differs. short stories shows the various facets and variations, that every moment conceals in itself. The 5 dancers are accompanied by a live-musician with bandeon and percussion.
“The Greek choreographer Toula Limnaios is one of those wonderful creatures, who are capable of bringing to light the entire inner workings of a person through the smallest of movements.”
Berliner Morgenpost, Andrea Philippi
