This Documentary Short explores the life of a Holy Cross Brother, Daniel Durig, who served in a school in San Antonio, Texas.
Brother Daniel, 79 years old, had been a religious brother for more than 50 years. He spent most of his life in the kitchen, cooking for others, and baking cookies and pastries for the students.
The profits from his pastries are sent to help the street children in Santarem, Brazil, through a nonprofit call Pastoral Do Menor.
People did not only love his delicious cookies, he was loved and cherished by the community for his generosity and humility; a true mark of a saint.
He passed away last January of 2011. Brother Daniel and his cookies will forever be remembered.
