14 Jordon High School MGOYA students from Watts, CA guided by the Anne Lamont, Magnet Coordinator and LAPD/PAL explore Sequoia National Park.
Medicines Global has provided more than 900 MGOYA wilderness experiences in the US and supported 18 international expeditions with Rx supplies for Nepal, El Salvador, Guatemala, Tibet, Russia, Laos, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, India & Haitian Relief in the Dominican Republic.
The North Face Explore Fund grants are providing the development and continuation of Medicines Global Outdoor Youth Ambassador (MGOYA) unique programs providing outdoor wilderness experiences in cooperation with local law enforcement. KEEN Footwear’s 2006 $25,000 regional grant provided the development and continuation of Medicines Global Outdoor Youth Ambassador (MGOYA) programs.
Medicines Global’s collaboration with the Los Angeles Police Department will allow MGOYA exponential opportunities to create innovative programs to explore the planet!
