Sunday, April 3, 2016: The Victor Indoor Percussion Ensemble was named New York State Champion after this performance in the state percussion championships at Onondaga Community College near Syracuse. This is the second consecutive state championship for Victor. They performed their 2016 show, House of Cards, and took first place with a score of 95.3. Victor won first place in Scholastic A Class; received awards for both the highest visual score and the highest music score; received the award for the highest score received by a large school; and won and retained the Yamaha Corporation Award for the highest overall score. 32 students in grades 7-12 perform with the Victor Indoor Percussion Ensemble, and this is Victor's sixth NYS championship.
