St Boswells' first match since losing their 59 match unbeaten record was under the Mansfield Park lights against Hawick Harlequins. St Boswells hadn't lost a league match for three years and were keen to get back to winning ways to extend their lead at the top of East League Division 1. A bonus point win would see them go 14 points clear of North Berwick with four games to play. The goal would be to put the club into the National League for the first time in its history, so this was an important stepping stone to achieving that - but Hawick Quins are a talented team who would certainly cause them problems.
