Piter evokes the city of Leningrad and emphasizes the return to its historic, pre-revolutionary name "Saint Petersburg" in 1991 during Perestroika. The exhibition included images and media, an interview with a Russian immigrant from Leningrad who relocated to Los Angeles in 1989 as well as historic Soviet and American T.V. footage from PBS, and works selected by the artist from the Wende Museum’s collection.
