New to patching a modular synthesizer, and not sure where to start? In this step-by-step video, Chris Meyer of LearningModular.com takes you cable-by-cable through patching a typical "East Coast" style subtractive synthesizer voice, including VCO, VCF, VCA, envelope, and LFO. At the end Chris spends time tweaking the result to give you some ideas of how to adjust your first voice once you have it patched.
To help you follow the patch, I color-code my use of patch cables:
yellow = audio signals
white = 1v/octave pitch control voltages
blue = other control voltages and modulations
red = gates & triggers
