Puppet show for camera and projection, from PMF VII, Baltimore, April 10, 2016
MRS WILLIAM HORSLEY is a mobile puppet theater sculpted out of a single chunk of feminized hematite discovered in the Pacific Northwest in the 1950s. It consists of a proscenium stage, a mechanical orchestra and a small bar offering refreshments. Owned and operated by artist Matthew Thurber, it functions as a research vehicle for investigations into abstract and literal puppetry and storytelling, mechanical phenomena, magnetism and physics.
