Short documentary on biocomputing research leading to a musical performance, developed at ICCMR (Plymouth University, UK) with Prof Eduardo Miranda (composer) and Ed Braund (PhD research assistant).
The biocomputer is an unprecedented interactive musical machine, which uses bio-processors made with slime mould.
This research is aimed at new creative biocomputing devices that will be economical to make, safe to handle, a lesser strain on our environment to produce, and conceivably self-powered and self-repairing.
A film of the premiere of the composition 'Biocomputer Rhythms', for piano, percussion and the biocomputer is available: vimeo.com/163673832
