Gibney Dance Company performs a world premiere by Mariangela Lopez, 'repairing permissions': a work for 25 dancers in celebration of our 25th Anniversary. 'repairing permissions' is part of our first-ever GRIT (Gibney Repertory Initiative for Tomorrow) series, alongside a reimagining of Keely Garfield's 'WOW'.
With GRIT, Gibney Dance Company “makes space for the future of dance” by commissioning new works and reimagining signature works by contemporary dance artists, positing the possibility that the present generation’s work will be recognized and celebrated in live performance by future audiences.
