About the talk:
In 1971, the then U.S. President Richard Nixon declared “war” on cancer. Four and a half decades later, cancer is still one of the most feared human diseases around the globe. What is cancer? When did it become part of human history? Can we defeat it? This talk de-mystified cancer by having Dr. Ghias focus on the journey of a cell as it transforms from normal to cancerous and talks about what already exists and what is needed in our arsenal to fight the disease.
