Speaker: James Province
After earning his B.A. from Westmont College and his J.D. from the University of Iowa, James Province began a small-town law practice in the Seattle area. For the twenty years James practiced law, he focused on domestic relations matters, handling everything thing from child support issues to complex divorce cases. James currently works as a mediator using his legal knowledge and mediation skills along with his passion for technology to help parties reach reasonable conclusions in disputes. In 2007, looking for a better way to organize his notes for cases, James stumbled upon Tabet PC technology from Microsoft and discovered OneNote. He founded TabletLawyer to bring tablet technology to the legal profession. He frequently presents at technology seminars across the U.S. helping lawyers and other legal professionals understand and leverage hardware and software to increase organization and productivity. Brought in by Microsoft as Office 365 was about to launch, James recognized its utility for both large and small firms. He is passionate about sharing how Office 365 can lower overhead for lawyers and how, through effective use of Word, Outlook, OneNote, Lync and SharePoint, can make their firms more organized and profitable in today's competitive economy.
