"I dressed up as a flower fairy and a rubbish monster and pushed a litter pickers barrow round my streets. It was bedecked with a pile of papier mache dog poo's, a heap of litter, a bunch of flowers and the words which "would you prefer?"
Heaven on Earth
was born over 11 years ago in response to all the dog mess and litter in my neighbourhood.
One day I just thought "I wish all this crap could be flowers instead"
Rest assured all the dog mess you see in this film is made of papier mache or a mixture of flour water and paint!
In one school I visited I asked if anyone would like to help me film 'a tred in the poop moment' - the whole of Assembly put there hands up!
I was nominated Environmentalist of the year by the Nottinghamshire Wildlife trust and given the Green Guardians Award in 2002.
Since then some lovely changes have happened, there are more dog bins and there does seem to be less dog mess (always room for more care though) More flowers are appearing on the streets side of life and 'Sowing Sneinton' a recently home grown group of green fingered residents are planting up empty or neglected spaces with flowers and orchards - yipheee!
