In this first of a series of videos, we share information about the honu, Hawaiian green sea turtle, which are welcome sights to most any beach-goer. These gentle creatures bask on the beach to rest but it is often not a restful time when curious people come by. Learn about the turtle's life history and ways you can be a better neighbor to these unique native species that are still vulnerable to extinction. This video was produced by Outside Hawai'i for Malama Learning Center and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.
