The Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce (GMCC, greatermadisonchamber.com) welcomed more than 1,000 members and guests to the 2010 58th Annual Dinner on Thursday, October 7 at the Monona Terrace.
The keynote speaker was Dr. Colin Harrison of IBM and one of the creators of the Smart Cities Initiatives (ibm.com/smarterplanet/us/en/smarter_cities/cities/index.html). The Dinner asked all of us to consider that "Madison Has The Brains ... But Do We Have the Smarts?"
The emcee for the evening of business and networking was Rebecca Ryan, Founder of Next Generation Consulting (nextgenerationconsulting.com/). Joining her in presenting were Gary Wolter, President & CEO of Madison Gas & Electric (mge.com/) and Chair of Thrive (thrivehere.org), GMCC President Jennifer Alexander and Marsha Lindsay, CEO of Lindsay, Stone & Briggs (lsb.com/) and Chair of the GMCC Board.
