Prairie du Chien, WI – May 3, 2016 – After a long 15 year fight between Frazier's Old Faithful Inn, and the Railroad (RR), the RR has prevailed in closing the Haydn Street crossing. The business most affected is the the Old Faithful Inn who fought the closing of the intersection because it was the main access to their business. Few small businesses would have fought the RR as tenaciously as Sharon Frazier and Keith Colburn, co-owners of the Inn.
In the end, you can't fight city hall as the old saying goes, and today saw the permanent closing of the Haydn Street crossing. Sharon and Keith are not quitters, and they are looking ahead at ways they can keep their business healthy. The city could help, as they should, to keep this family business thriving by carefully considering how they handle the flow of traffic on the surrounding streets. mwnews.net
