There are certain lessons that are not learned from a textbook or in a classroom. Yet these lessons can have the greatest impact on your personal and professional growth. My own lessons come from my career as an attorney, CEO, head of a federal Agency and University President. These lessons transcend all of these environments and guide me today in my own leadership roles. We will discuss five key elements of leadership:
1. Responsibility & personal accountability for your own future; 2. Humility; 3. Leadership Styles - One size does not fit all; 4. Keeping perspective; 5. Understanding your personal and physical limitations.
