Bob is a 2 dan go player, and has studied both traditional artificial intelligence and computational neuroscience, working with Marvin Minsky, among others. Bob completed his PhD at MIT as part of CSAIL – MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. He is also a successful software entrepreneur, best known for ClarisWorks, and is a national class long-distance runner.
