My experiences & vulnerabilities that groomed me to being exploited as a child and as an adult will be described. No person chooses to sell their flesh. This is an issue of sexism, exploitation of vulnerable populations, and slavery. The road to recovery for survivors is long, but having our voices heard is a huge step in that recovery and social change.
Robin Rivera is a soul on fire, a warrior of light. She obtained her BA degree in social welfare from the University of California, Berkeley, while she served as a scholar and advocate for commercially sexually exploited children in the San Francisco bay area. Robin is the recipient of numerous awards for her advocacy, leadership, and community service. This mother, surfer, and yogini is a resilient survivor of sexual exploitation beginning at the age of 15. She posses the deep commitment to inspiring people to take their power back, heal themselves, and to engage in truth telling.
