Jirapha & Rodrigo Jr
Cross - culture love between Thai and Filipino
Jirapha was born in Thailand and Rodrigo is a Filipino. They met each other while they were studying in Sweden. After a long term relationship, they made a decision to tie a knot in Thailand, the land of smile. They then started to search for a photographer. When they found us, the lively and unique story-telling wedding photographies and videos made by Lovedezign impressed them. They both were looking for the photographer who could narrate a true story and capture the real emotions at that very moment. Our team then became their answer.
The rose garden or Sampran Riverside was the place that they both chose for their wedding in Thailand. The teak wood house in Rattanakosin era was a Thai identity on its own.The guests came from different countries and they were all excited to join the Thai wedding. Jirapha wore Chan Soma - the classic Thai wedding dress that made from elaborate Thai silk and embroidered with gold. The antique collections of gold ornaments were from Prof. Wiratham Trakoonnguenthai , a well-renowned artist and crafter in Thailand.
You can watch more information about his gold brocaded Thai silk dress from this link.
The groom, groomsmen and bridesmaids were also wore the classical Thai dress from Chan Soma. They had to get up so early to wear the dresses. The most difficult work is the bride. It took her more than 1 hour to dress properly. It was so amazing. The Thai wedding culture was so fun when the groom had to bribe and made negotiations with the "gate" keepers. Rodrigo had to do everything to pleased them for him to pass through the "gates" and meet his bride. We get photos full of fun from this tradition most of the time. After the Thai ceremony, the reception in a restaurant by the river was so fun too. The last part of party was the money dance, which is a tradition in Philippines. The guests pinned money to the bride and groom's dress, and they dance with them. The symbolism behind dollar dances varies, but typically the money is a gesture to help couple in their new lives together.
Wishing you many more days as happy as this one, many more occasions for celebration, and a lifetime of love and laughter.
