What is Emotional Intelligence (EI)? How does EI impact your personal, professional and spiritual development? EI is the capacity to recognize your own feelings and those of others, to motivate yourself, and manage your emotions well both in yourself and in your relationships. Would you like to have smooth interactions with people quite different from yourself, maintain smooth working relationships, establish rapport and understanding with your customers, understand and provide the results your boss wants, be a good parent, spouse, family member? If so, this presentation is for you. Tracy will give you tools to help evaluate your self- and social awareness as well as offer practical tips on self and relationship management.
Previously, at ProfessionallySpeaking, Tracy spoke on the subject of Daniel Golemans model of EI and its importance in the areas of business relationships, employee and team development, and profitability, to name a few. In February, shell continue the discussion of EI by sharing with you a journey she involuntarily embarked upon with two important individuals in her life. This journey helped her to grow, surrender, and understand that behavior is significantly impacted by:
1) our feelings,
2) dissonance between our actions and beliefs,
3) unconscious responses.
We can better navigate our journeys by recognizing our emotions, managing them and responding with meaning to the feelings and emotions of others by creating self-awareness in our lives.
