First shown as a component of Edie Steiner's installation at Gallery 44 Members Space, Toronto, 2014, a 15-year photographic documentation of a view from the filmmaker's home on the Toronto waterfront. In the decade between 2004 to 2019 rapid and ongoing development changes the landscape to an increasingly enclosed space. The work began as an analogue photographic project on medium format film and later transformed into video recordings, gradually changing from analogue to digital processes over the years of the recordings. Central to the frame is the site of Fort York, which gradually disappears from view as the years of construction unfold. Key historical moments are cited with on-screen text. Audio is ambient music with sound effects.
