This film is very close to my heart! I started developing it in 2002 after meeting wildlife activist, Gareth Patterson, in Knysna.
After chatting with him about how he was researching the Knysna Elephants, I realised that here was a very special story in the making.
I finally received a commision for the film by NHU Africa in 2007 and once I completed the offline edit at the end of 2008, Animal Planet bought the film and is now broadcasting globally.
