My name is Eric Francoeur and I am the general manager for Precision Home & Office Deliveries.
We've been in business since 1959 doing warehousing and transportation.
Today we’ve grown to 9 facilities and manage 98 drivers and independent contractors and deliver about 4,000 – 6,000 orders per day or 12,000 boxes.
Our volumes have grown beyond being able to manage manually. At this point we need technology to track and trace orders and shipments in order to find which truck it’s on and which time and then when it will get delivered.
What we found is, we had reached a capacity. We are currently handling 4,000 – 6,000 orders a day, 12,000 boxes. In order for us to compete in this marketplace - to be able to bring in new customers and serve them, we had to find the right tech solution.
What we found was a lot of those established platforms were very rigid in terms of having been developed initially for certain requirements.
The advantage of working with ShipTrack is that they were able to customize, exactly to our needs, the platform that we needed so that we could continue operating the same methodology and have the system built around it to be more efficient.
One of the biggest advantages of ShipTrack I think is that it’s very user-friendly. It’s quick to learn and it’s transferable to independent contractors, to our drivers, as well as to outside partners or carriers that may be delivering on our behalf.
With close to 100 drivers in our fleet we are looking at savings of approximately $250,000.00 every 3 years on replacement of units.
We’ll get calls from our customers asking what we can do. Can we look at same day deliveries? Can we look at evening deliveries? We need to have the technology, which we have with ShipTrack, such as the web portal where they can go ahead and place orders directly.
We will pick them up at their own location and deliver as if it came from a fulfillment center from our customer.
This was a major problem before we started our relationship with ShipTrack and are now able to grow. We’ve taken on one of the top five retailers in the world. We were able to add them into our infrastructure quite easily. And in the past year we’ve ten-fold the volumes that we were handling with them and we are hoping to do equal to that in the next twelve months.

ShipTrack has definitely been an extension to our organization and it’s a part of our service not only an extension - from the time we receive an order to accept a shipment, deliver a shipment and have a business to manage.
So absolutely it’s part of our day to day operations and involves 100% of the shipments that we do move. And with 3 – 5 scans for shipments, you can imagine, it’s a big part of our business.
