A short documentation of the class presentation for Interactive Studio Seminar (IDMI, spring 2007, Josh Goldberg).
My project pulled flickr images and put them on slotwheels which were turned by walking in front of the images and looking at them. After some time the tags of the fastest spinning wheel were used to look up a new series of pics, that was distributed to a new set of wheels.
In the movie Josh is explaining the project (better than I could...), so he is doing most of the talking.
Tech info: The project uses 8 screens, an overhead motion tracking camera and 8 computers running Pd/Gem. The motion tracking part was written in Max/MSP/Jitter and parts of the image retrieval API were written in Python.
