Teen Do 2016. August 12-14th. The Do Farm, West Wales. 60 teens. 12 speakers. Inspiring discussions. Hands-on workshops. Fresh, local food. Live music.
Today’s teenagers are digital pioneers. We are the first generation to grow up in this new social media world. At a time where we are trying to define who we are and what we want to become, we are often presented with examples of who we should be. Rather than who we could be.
Teen Do’s purpose is to provide an environment where curiosity, creativity, and confidence can thrive. So we can figure things out for ourselves. No other generation has grown up with such amazing tools that allow us to express ourselves and create.
We’ll hear stories from inspiring speakers. We will make films together and create our own bands. We will listen to each other. We will bake bread and eat tasty food. Ultimately, it’ll be a fun and inspiring experience.
By working together, we will leave with a better understanding of who we want be and what we want to do about it.
What we want to learn (the things they don’t teach us at school):
- How to listen to your instinct
- How to follow your dreams
- How to fail
- How to look after yourself
- How to find your purpose
- How to ‘be’ as well as ‘do’
- How to embrace the outdoors
- How to survive the internet
- How to fight for what you believe in
Tickets cost £500 but we are doing things a bit differently. £250 will be paid by parents at the time your application is accepted and, here’s the fun bit, the remaining £250 will need to be raised by you over the following few months.
As part of your application, you’ll need to tell us how you plan to raise the money. Because we believe that magical experiences only hold the potential for change if you really want them to.
And just like for Do, the talks will be available online for the whole world to watch for free.
