High Performance Configuration Manager: Staying Up to Date
Presenter: Wally Mead, Principal Program Manager
How do you stay up to date with new releases?
By now, you’ve likely already upgraded or migrated to System Center Configuration Manager – the current branch version 1511. Microsoft recently released an update to the current branch product, version 1602. And more updates will be coming this year. How do you stay up to date with the newer releases? Do you have to install each of them? What if you don’t want to implement new features that are available in an update pack? All these questions will be answered during the session. We’ll demonstrate how to easily update from 1511 to 1602, which will be the same process to update to future releases.
In this session, you’ll see:
How to update your site to build 1602
How to enable new features after the update
How to pilot new client versions before rolling out to everyone
How to update your site if you are in a secure/disconnected environment
How to monitor the update process
