Every year on the second Sunday of November, countries around the world hold memorial services to pay tribute to all who have given their lives during the war.
Known as Remembrance Day, the date marks the end of World War I on 11 November 1918.
This year, a group of 24, consisting of war veterans and their families, travelled from Britain under the Heroes Return 2 programme, funded by United Kingdom's Big Lottery Fund. Amongst them were Don Lea and Victor Longhurst, former British servicemen who were returning to Singapore, for the first time since the war.
