Resident artist Corkey Sinks will give a talk on the work she created during her residency at Crosstown Arts.
Sinks embraces the human tendency to find meaningful patterns within the noise of collective information. Through sculpture, textiles, printed matter, and drawing, Sinks’ works explore American occultism and self-help culture, objects manifested through a struggle to understand the systems we occupy.
Corkey Sinks (b. Dallas, TX) is an artist based in Memphis, TN.
