Vamizi is the largest island in the Quirimba Archipelago. The relative isolation from mainland Mozambique has preserved its natural beauty and wildlife. The area has magnificent coral reefs and a unique breeding ground for whales, dolphins and sea turtles. The is the only coral reef in East Africa where there is mass spawning's and is a testament to the health of the ecosystem. The coral reef system is under threat from development and big oil and gas companies. This film follows a team of scientists and renowned National Geographic photographer Mattias Klum, who are documenting and trying to stop the damage before it occurs.
