DW307 - The Looking Glass Revisited

Richard Elen

The Looking Glass, on Horizon Dreams, has always been a stunning region to visit, consisting of extraordinarily imaginative and beautifully crafted architecture and artefacts created by Sharni Azalee and Marcus Inkpen. They were also the creators of the marvellous Lucentia region at Fantasy Faire 2016. The pair have recently completely revamped The Looking Glass and we visit it in this episode, where Marcus shows us around. It's a show for maximum eye-candy and a glorious celebration of the creative possibilities of Second Life.

We did have a show long ago at the old Looking Glass in 2011. But recently Marcus and Sharni have done a complete redesign that has been two years in the planning, and several months in the execution and - as we discovered when Marcus showed us around - the end result is gorgeous.

Sharni was unable to join us (she's based in Australia and was soundly asleep when we filmed) but Marcus was able to share with us many of the beauties and the fun things that await visitors to The Looking Glass. It makes for an amazing episode as he shows us the Art Gallery, the hidden upper streets, the towers, the bridge, the performance areas, the landscaping ... and we certainly didn't have time to cover everything! Join us for a really stunningly beautiful show.
