Callooh! Callay! It's the return of "The Jabberwocky" ["Beware the Jabberwock, my son! The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!] from Lewis Carroll's THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS AND WHAT ALICE FOUND THERE, 1872. Partch premiered the piece at the Young People's Concert Series of the Mill Valley Outdoor Club in February 1954, coupled with "The Mock Turtle Song."
