A film by John Dargan for the DMAG Joined Up project. 14 Artists were asked to respond to 10 Museums in the Dover district. This film details John's engagement with the Princess of Wales Royal Regiment and Queens Museum, based in Dover Castle. Research on the Eastern Division of the British Army in World War 1 (of which the East Kents and East Surreys were a part), commanded by Maxse, revealed an approach to warfare that contradicts the stereotypical view of cavalier superior officers that we might have today. With thanks to Dan Elliot, Giles Guthrie and Phil Eyden.
