A film by John Dargan for the DMAG Joined Up project. 14 Artists were asked to respond to 10 Museums in the Dover district. This film details John's engagement with the Princess of Wales Royal Regiment and Queens Museum, based in Dover Castle. Working with Living Historian Dan Elliot, the intention was to give an idea of the level of preparation required to go back up the line. Major General Ivor Maxse stipulated levels of appearance, behaviour and preparation, with carefully planned activities once a soldier had come back from the front line. Maxse had leaflets mass produced detailing every moment of a soldiers day so that he could recuperate and be ready for the next engagement with the enemy. With thanks to Dan Elliot, Giles Guthrie and Phil Eyden.
