Osaka Tour - How to rock out is an adventure game base on true stories:
Embarking upon a mission from the rock gods, Jake and JD must set out to travel the vast wilderness that is Osaka city, crossing the paths of many interesting and let’s face it... crazy people on their way to a gig of epic proportions and a hangover that will live on through the ages.
Though it may sound simple, getting the main characters from their Hotel room to the gig is far from the easiest thing possible. Characters will get in their way to challenge their progress, Jake’s stomach will demand attention as the various foods of Osaka prove to be too powerful for his nose to ignore, the breasts of Osaka women will be far more than formidable for J.D. peepers to not see, and the alcohol dished out by the final boss, Kazumasa of King Cobra is at times more than the boys can handle.
The game will then be ported into iPhone and Android at a later stage.
The game will be produced by Cokoon studio (cokoon.com.au), written by How to rock out (Howtorockout.com) and artwork by Rubber House Studio (rubberhousestudio.com). Cokoon studio is a Melbourne based design consultancy specialised in digital design. It was founded by 3 designers: Yiyi Wang, Hody Hong and Peter Leung. Cokoon will be in charge of marketing and technical development of the game. How to rock out is a Melbourne based business aim to share their love with rock music. They offer a 7-day tour which showcase the best food, local people and live house in Osaka. Rubber house studio is a new Melbourne animation studio. The studio creates animation for use in TVCs, animated series, cut-scenes, idents, promos and virals.
Our funding goal is AU$5,000, aiming to cover some parts of the production and marketing cost of the game for programmer, artist, writer, sound designer and producer.
