Description: Speaker Kris Pearson will offer practical experience and exposure to the breath alcohol ignition interlock device - also known as the BAIID. DUI offenders who receive a permit from the Secretary of State's office may continue to drive as long as they have a BAIID installed on their car. The BAIID prevents the car from starting if the person using the BAIID has been drinking or has a minimum amount of alcohol on their breath. The Secretary of State receives reports from the device regarding the client's use of the BAIID.
