Hymn to Grandpa is an orchestral music composed by Florian Bador in 2015, and re-recorded in June 2016.
It is a tribute to Florian's grandfather who passed away a few months earlier.
The music features solo violin and violins emsemble, cellos and other strings along with piano, choirs, and a few brasses.
This music was produced by Florian using exclusively computer software and no real orchestra (no budget for this)
To get to this level of realism Florian edited every single note of every single instrument to make it sound natural. This process obviously took a very large amount of time.
Florian only uses Linux machines (no Windows or Mac) and the main software used are Ardour (ardour.org) and Linux Sampler (linuxsampler.org)
