This is some footage of the Newburgh Free Academy Madrigal Choir singing a song from 1850 on the lawn of Washington's Headquarters for me this week. We recorded a number of songs from an earlier period and I thought others might enjoy this as well. Some of the footage will be used in the documentary I am making about Washington's Headquarters called "The Mansion on the Hill".
Many thanks to:
The NFA Madrigal Choir and Conducter\Teacher Jillian Caci.
Albert Garzon for helping to research, play, and record some of these gems
Rick Santacroce for his help in coordinating all this and also playing and recording some of these
Scott Snell from XFactorAerial.com for some incredible Drone Aerial and Video Footage
The Staff at Washington's Headquarters, Palisades Interstate Parks Commission, and New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation, The Historic Society of Newburgh Bay and the Highlands, and the Palisades Interstate Parks Conservancy and others.
More to come!
