The first session of Human Cities China took place at the Tsinghua University iCenter. James H. Spear, Jr., Founder of The Schoolhouse at Mutianyu Great Wall. With his wife, Liang Tang, he started their consultancy, China Bound, Ltd. to invest in sustainable tourism businesses in China. Mr. Spear discussed how to develop in the urban peripheries of cities in a way that respects the local fabric of human communities.
