A special citizenship oath ceremony was held on Saturday, June 18, 2016 for about 100 residents, including students from Fresno Adult School. The event included dance performances and video success stories of Fresno Adult School students prior to the ceremony.
Fresno Adult School hosted the event with some of its partners supporting residents through the naturalization process: The Maddy Institute, Fresno County Public Library and the Central Valley Immigration Integration Team.
“I am very proud that Fresno Adult School has an outstanding track record of helping residents become citizens. The work we do in this area helps our parents, our students, and our entire community,” Superintendent Michael Hanson.
