Mounted HD camera to view rear of fuselage to evaluate any twisting motion. This flight included many positive and negative snaps, point rolls, spins, and various aerobatic maneuvers as would typically be flown in an IMAC Unlimited sequence flight.
This model was built in 1998 for Steve Stricker as a backup plane for the TOC - Tournament of Champions aerobatic competition hosted by Bill Bennett and the Sahara Casino in Las Vegas.
There is twisting evident during snaps. I grounded the plane and removed the covering from the fuselage in order to add cross bracing at each former and truss bracing at the top and bottom of the fuselage structure.
I have not yet mounted the camera to record a flight since the additional bracing was added. I have flown the Extra about 8 flights since the project was completed. I will upload a new movie in the next month or so...
