Live media concert by Azot and Messmatik performed in Zagreb at the Museum of Contemporary Art, inspired and dedicated to one of the foremost Croatian abstract geometric painters Ivan Picelj.
Messmatik and Azot immerse the audience in a deeply evocative environment, alternating rigid geometrical structures with fluid dry-ice artifacts. The composition tethers around a gradually drifting subsonic pulse, modulating other strata into a rich maze of spectral overtones. Entropic particles align themselves geometrically, shifting in and out of focus with addition of every new layer. The space heaves, subsuming the audience and turning them into pillars, vestiges of some lost sacred geometries… (I.B.)
