Students Offering Support (SOS) is a national social venture that raises marks, raises money, and raises roofs for marginalized children around the world.
This is accomplished through our 'Exam-Aid' initiative where student volunteers, operating at University SOS campus chapters, run group review sessions prior to an exam for a $20 donation.
All of the money raised through SOS 'Exam-Aids' are used to initiate and create sustainable educational projects in developing nations. Not only does SOS fund these projects, but SOS volunteers help build the projects on annual volunteer trips coordinated by each University chapter.
In the last four years, student volunteers at campus SOS chapters have tutored over 2000 of their peers, raising more than $140,000 dollars for development projects which have helped 100’s of children in developing nations acquire an education and have a choice.
For the 2008-2009 academic year, SOS chapters will be running at:
Wilfrid Laurier University
