I'm in the process of learning some new video production software, and I needed some 1920x1080 HD footage to work with despite the fact the HD cameras haven't arrived yet. I know! Time lapse!
This was shot entirely on a Canon A650IS running a CHDK script to simulate my finger holding the shutter button down. This resulted in about one frame per second of 4000x3000 JPG images. The images were then re-sized and cropped to 1920x1080, and run through VirtualDub to get an HD video track I could play with.
Lettering was added using Adobe Photoshop 7 (still can't afford to upgrade my license to CS5) and then run through CyberLink Power Director to produce the final video.
It's not the most engaging video in the world, I admit. But it let me test everything I needed to test and work out the bugs before the deadline starts to loom.
